I’m not dead yet
Woops, looks like I got off to a false start there. Oh well, I’ve been busy with work and moving and whatnot… Right, so, moved for the 7th time in just under 8 years. I was in my last place for a year, on my own, and I’m back in room-mate land, this time with Anthony aka Ton Ton aka The Dirty Mexican (I just realized I really need some pictures up here). Hopefully soon we’ll have a little house-warming soiree.
Saturday we belatedly celebrated my friend Sheldon’s (damn i really need pics) birthday by having dinner @ a place on Granville on Sanafir (warning: cheesy flash site w/ audio). Its on Granville, close to Nelson, in one of the shabbier blocks of that street. But when inside it looks like this (except less busy). Crazy how you never realize what’s right behind a door sometimes. Anyways, that pic may look a little pretentious, but it was actually pretty cool in there. Since we showed up with one more person than we had reserved for, they moved us upstairs to the bed area (normally you have to commit to spending $500 to get a bed, not that we were far off). Yes thats right, 6 of us all sat on a big bed and ate dinner, which was a pretty unique experience. The food was tapas-style, and was absolutely incredible. I swear the lamb loin is the best thing I ever tasted. This would definitely be the place to go to impress a date.
Bought myself tickets to China on Friday, woooo, I leave on the 27th for Beijing and come back on May 19th from Hong Kong. I’ll be meeting my brother Cory there who’s been working there for Microsoft since October. With luck, my parents will be getting their passports back soon and they’ll also be joining us. Not sure what to expect really, probably would never have gone to china if it wasn’t for my bro working there, but I’m really looking forward to it now.
Don’t know if anyone else reading this watches Battlestar Galactica, but, whoa, what a crazy season finale. I’ll keep my mouth shut and not spoil anything, but thats quite the cliffhanger. And Rome; I hope thats not the end of the series, but it felt like it could be, given all that went on.
It’s late, I’m tired, I’ve done my blogly duties for tonight, I’m going to bed.
